Biography

Dr. Kraushaar obtained her undergraduate training, majoring in Biology, at the University of Regina.  She then received her Medical Doctorate (MD) degree in 2007 at the University of Saskatchewan and was awarded the PM&R Award.  She completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Saskatchewan in June 2012.  

Dr. Kraushaar has been practicing in Regina at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre since completion of her training. She is very interested in medical education and teaches both medical students and residents. She has been the Area Department Lead of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Regina since 2016. She is an Associate Member of the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology at the University of Saskatchewan. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Specialty Committee in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is the Regina site coordinator for the Clerkship Leadership Elective and the faculty wellness representative for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Training Program. She is also enrolled in the Clinician Educator AFC Program through the University of Saskatchewan.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, decorating and home design, and is an active participant in her family business.

Biography

Dr. Andersen received a Bachelor of Science, studying Biochemistry and Biology, from the University of Regina in 2008. She volunteered at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre and as an Athletic trainer furthering her interest in rehabilitation and sports medicine. She completed a Master’s in Physical Therapy from the School of Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan in 2010. She then graduated from the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in 2014. She completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at the University of Saskatchewan in 2022, training at both the Regina and Saskatoon sites. She joined the Wascana Physiatry Group in March 2023 and also holds a leadership position in our Provincial Department as the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Wellness Lead. She was born and raised in Regina and is happy to now be raising her own family here as well.  

Outside of medicine she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, yoga, cycling, gardening, reading, pottery, and travel.

Biography

Dr. Chrusch completed both her medical training and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Saskatchewan. She has been practicing in Regina at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre since the completion of her training. 

She has a strong interest in sports medicine. She represents the Saskatchewan Academy of Sports Medicine (SASM) on the Sports Medicine and Science Council of Saskatchewan (SMSCS). She provides medical coverage at local sporting events and is a level II wheelchair rugby classifier. She is also a member  of the Saskatchewan Acquired Brain Injury Outreach Committee. 

Outside of work, Wendy enjoys running, cross-country skiing, swimming, cycling, triathlons, kayaking and yoga.

Biography

After growing up in Saskatchewan, Dr. Wang moved to Ontario to pursue his dreams of becoming a physician and a jazz flutist. Although he loved the creative aspects of making music, his true passion was medicine. The door towards rehabilitation medicine first opened during his volunteering with the music therapy program at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre. He was instantly drawn in by the multidisciplinary care approach and its ability to transcend both physical and psychosocial domains of well-being.

In his spare time, he is an amateur musician and an avid badminton player.

Biography

Dr. Wunder is originally from a farm near Theodore, Saskatchewan and completed both Undergraduate and Medical degrees at the University of Saskatchewan. He also holds an Associateship to the Royal Conservatory of Toronto (ARCT) in Piano Performance.

He has been practicing at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre since the completion of his training. He is involved in teaching at the College of Medicine at the undergraduate level and has been the Program Director for the residency training program since November 2016. He has initiated changes in the structure and design of the outpatient clinic at Wascana. He has an interest in technology in medicine and has served in various roles including co-chair of the standards committee for the Provincial Computerized Orders Management project and pandemic virtual care physician co-lead. He is currently a member of the Saskatchewan Medical Association's EMR Co-Management Committee, and is the clinical informatics lead for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is also currently enrolled in the Clinician Educator AFC Program through the University of Saskatchewan. 

In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, home design and renovation, traveling, and technology.

Biography

Dr. Kleisinger is originally from Regina, Saskatchewan. She completed an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Regina, and a Medical Doctor degree at the University of Saskatchewan. She is the former President and Vice president of the Professional Association of Internes and Residents of Saskatchewan (PAIRS).

Dr. Kleisinger participates in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical learners at the University of Saskatchewan and is the coordinator for undergraduate medical education for PM&R in Regina. She is also the pediatric rehabilitation lead for the department of PM&R.

In her spare time, she enjoys dancing and pilates, cooking dinner for friends and family, learning about wine and food, travelling, and reading.
